Travel into the past with luxurious Disney Yacht Club Resort

As a native Floridian, I must have visited Disney parks more than 200 times in the past 25+ years. But every time I return I seem to forget how pretty they can be. They are known for perfection, attention to detail, creativity and strangely enough – cleanliness. All of that combined makes life quite perfect when you are visiting.

Of the many hotels I’ve stayed at over the years, I had never stayed at Disney Yacht Club Resort, but I’m so glad I had the chance to.

As the social media manager for Tropical Smoothie Tampa Bay, my client invited me to go to the bi-annual conference, which was being held in Orlando this year.

The lobby was very sophisticated with huge fresh floral arrangements. There was a global traveler feel, with globes and ships and traveling accoutrements.

It reminded me of the time period and the elegance of the Titanic. Of course, on land, and so much safer.

The hotel was luxurious with a beautiful lobby, gorgeous pool, access to the Boardwalk and boats that take guests to other Disney parks.

The travel back in time to the turn of the century was very relaxing and the Disney touch was everywhere.

I would love to stay here again!

I loved the yacht club details and the Disney touches in the room.
Period paintings in the attached conference space.

A lighted gazebo, outside my window.
Captain Mickey detail on the lamp in my hotel room. It made me feel like a kid again!
Happy after a long weekend, with gazebo outside my window.
The pool was gorgeous and I ate an a poolside casual restaurant outside, right next to the pool.
A momma duck and her babies were making themselves home in the pool.
